WHAT IS PDK INTERNATIONAL?

PDK Mission & Vision: PDK strives to be the experts in cultivating great educators for tomorrow and ensuring high-quality education for today.

Phi Delta Kappa is an international professional organization for women and men practicing in the field of education. PDK has been actively supporting educaton and educators since 1906. Members of PDK International consist of:

  • Classroom teachers
  • Graduate students preparing for careers in education
  • University teachers and professors
  • School and district administrators
  • Educational specialists and consultants

Members of PHI DELTA KAPPA are dedicated advocates for public schools. Phi Delta Kappa maintains an extensive network of PDK chapters in the United States, Canada, and nations in Europe and Asia. Members have a common focus and interest in the promotion and improvement of education with particular emphasis on publicly supported education. World-wide, there are more than 650 chapters; more than half of which are based on college or university campuses which have graduate departments of education.

Today, the Fraser Valley Chapter of PDK continues to work with the international association, and strives to prepare the next generation of educators. As well, the Fraser Valley Chapter works hard to serve practicing teachers, administrators, college educators, and those concerned about public education through a wide range of innovative initiatives based on visionary leadership, relevant research, and dedicated service.
